Comedian Tim Hawkins once said there are two kinds of people in life — Jeopardy! people and Wheel of Fortune people. Well, we proudly identify as Jeopardy! people. We have a knack for collecting seemingly random information because, who knows, it might just come in handy one day. These pages are the culmination of years spent gathering knowledge and embracing a wide array of opinions on various subjects.
Here's the thing, though — not everything you find on these pages will necessarily resonate with you, and that's perfectly okay. Really, we mean it. We're not offended. We understand that different perspectives and interests exist, and we genuinely respect that. So, please, resist the urge to compose that email explaining why you think one of our recommended podcasts, websites, or books is heretical. Inclusion on these pages does not mean we agree with or endorse everything in that resource or created by that person. It means some people have found it helpful, and we believe it's worth sharing. If something doesn't resonate with you, simply move on to the next resource. It's there for someone else who may find value in it. As a friend once said, "Don't yuck somebody else's yum."
The resources on each page are graded on a completely infallible and definitely not arbitrary scale of nerdiness ranging from 1-5. A resource rated 1 on the Nerd Scale (1NS) means even those who lean towards Wheel of Fortune will appreciate it. A 5 (5NS) means fasten your blue light filter glasses and dust off your mint-condition carded Kenner action figures; we're about to talk nerdy to you.
